Q. How many treatments will I require?
A. I recommend for first time clients an initial consultation and treatment to identify any potential problem areas and discuss diet and lifestyle. Every person is different and changes in our lives create different stresses, so there is no standard number of treatments that are recommended. Generally I suggest that a course of between 3-5 treatments is taken within an initial 3-6 week timeframe and then the situation can be regularly reviewed..
Q. Is it safe?
Colon hydrotherapy is completely safe - I comply strictly with current hospital sterilisation protocols . The water is filtered and there is no danger of damage to internal organs.
Colonics have a "relieving" effect. There will be a feeling of lightness, of being clean and an increased clarity of mind following a colonic, although during the procedure you may feel a slight discomfort from time to time whenever toxic waste detaches from the intestinal walls and leaves the body. We suggest that for 24 hours prior to your treatment you do not eat heavy meals or drink excess alcohol and fizzy drinks.
The more you prepare for your treatment, the better the results. Once the colon has been thoroughly cleansed, then diet, exercise and other health programmes will become many times more effective.
Q. What can I expect?
A. The treatment will begin with a detailed case study, and an explanation of the procedure. The client then lies down on a treatment table and warm, purified water is introduced into the colon via the rectum, the therapist will use special massage techniques during the procedure to stimulate the release of stored faecal matter. The colonic will take approximately 45 minutes. Herbal and probiotic implants may be used and advice will also be given on dietary changes to enhance the treatment. Advice will also be given on how many sessions will be necessary.
